Everything I'm Not

Tell me everything
I'm not

not a woman
sharing your bed
nor one to whom
you can speak
neither a fantasy
or a reality
passion's wraith
a beginning
with no end

tell me everything I'm not
and then
tell me everything I am.

  1. You are a brilliant poet.
I love the divinity of this one. The way it makes us view the poet as a sort of goddess and then boldly announces her morality in the last line. It reminds me that even though we are just people, there is divinity to be found if we look hard enough at what we are.

  2. Militant working boy:
Thank you once again for your kind comment. Very much appreciated :-)
