Wish You Were Here

Original Photo Courtesy of Sharon Greco

I wish you were here
to hear the hush of snowfall
and the cold squeak of it
under your shoes

I wish you were here
to see the ache in my eyes
cast by moon's light
high in my sky

I wish you were here
to stop the shivering
to kiss the tip
of a cold nose

I've left a light
burning for you
I wish
you were here.

  3. This is really sweet and soulful, such a sad poem but written in a wonderful style.
